Revision Books 2025

The last editions of the usual books with questions and answers for grade 12 learners made available here were from 2023. 

From 29 October 2025, the editions of 2024 and 2025 for physical sciences are also available here.

How to get there? Look under "Pages" and then click on "Content Matter". Read the info on the next screen and then click the link at the bottom. Sub-folders will be available. Click on "Terms & Definitions & Revision Books" and take it from there.

Please note the following changes:

Until and including 2023, these books were generally referred to as "Terms & Definitions" (Afrikaans: "Terme & Definisies"). From 2024 the title changed to "Revision Books" (Afrikaans: "Hersieningsboeke").

In the 2025 edition of the physics book with descriptive questions, the first few questions (read "the oldest ones") in each topic were removed. They were replaced with other useful information such as problem-solving and the number of pages was kept within the required limit. These removed questions are still available in the 2023 and 2024 editions if you want to refer to them.

It is very important that learners have a good comprehension of the basic concepts of electrical circuits and can effectively apply the cognitive processes about the interaction between current, potential difference, resistance, energy and power. 

This piece is an attempt to make these challenges easier. It is a refined and adapted form of a method that I was introduced to in my first year as a teacher by my former subject advisor, Mr. Louis Maas. I would like to give credit to him for the initiative, as he has played a huge mentoring role in my life 40 years ago.

What I present here, I have used with great success in physical science; for both learners and later also during teacher training.

Dit is baie belangrik dat leerders die basiese begrippe van elektriese stroombane goed begryp en die kognitiewe prosesse van die interaksie tussen stroom, potensiaalverskil, weerstand, energie en drywing effektief kan toepas. 

Hierdie stuk is 'n poging om hierdie uitdagings makliker te maak. Dit is 'n verfynde en aangepaste vorm van 'n metode wat ek in my eerste jaar as onderwyser mee kennis gemaak het by my eertydse vakadviseur, meneer Louis Maas. Ek gee graag die eer aan hom vir die inisiatief, aangesien hy 40 jaar gelede 'n groot mentorsrol in my lewe gespeel het. 

Wat ek hier aanbied, het ek met groot sukses in fisiese wetenskap gebruik; vir beide leerders en later ook tydens onderwysersopleiding.
