Today, Saturday 20th July, the crescent moon forms part of a lovely triangle with Venus (bottom right) and Jupiter (top right). This picture was taken at 18:45.
Jupiter and Venus are the brightest “stars” in our skies this
month. Keep an eye on them for the next few weeks. They will move closer
together and pass each other at the end of the month. When the moon orbits back
into this part of the sky (18th July), a similar triangle will be seen, but with
Venus above Jupiter.
