Space pioneer John Young passed away

On Friday, 5 January 2018, John Young, NASA's longest-serving astronaut, passed away.

This talented man participated in many space programmes, starting in the 1960s.
So much interesting information is available about him. In the picture immediately above he was jumping and saluting the USA flag on the surface of the moon in April 1972.
